Today i started on a new project for the company i work for after 5 months of working at Heerema in Hartlepool building the new oil platform.
Here are some pictures of my time at Heerema.
The new project is a Wind Farm based in Northumberland called Kiln Pit Hill.
The job itself is to connect 6 turbines to there own transformers and then to connect the transformers to the main substation where the power will go to the power grid.
Apparently the weather is always poor up here and because its at the top of a hill (Where else would you find a wind farm ? 😉 its always windy.
Although, these past 3 days I’ve been here the weather has been quite pleasant. I was only offered about 2 weeks work as the job was nearly finished when I arrived.
Who knows where we will get sent next.
