Wordament is a boggle based game for your mobile device.
At current, the only supported platforms for Wordament is Windows Phone (WP), Windows 8 (Win8) and iPhone / iPads (iOS). You sign into the app using your Xbox Live gamertag. The game integrates with Xbox live, using your friends list to add them as ‘frenemies’ so you can see there scores inside the game.
So, how does the game work?
The game starts with a 4×4 grid of letters. Each letter has a score attached to it. You make as many words as you can by sliding your finger to adjacent letters. It really is that simple.
You try to get the most points in 2 minutes, then at the end of the game it takes you to the score board and all the users playing on that language board will be ranked by score.
Your score accumulates onto your total score which can be viewed in the leaderboards section with a load more game statistics.
One of the main features, or should I say attractions for many users of this game is the Xbox Live achievements. Obviously, achievements have always been in Xbox Live games but now, for the first time ever, you can earn achievements on your iOS device.
This is one of the first games to offer cross platform gaming. Now, a lot of users are awaiting an android version of the game for phones and tablets.
We will just have to wait and see although there was rumours it is in the pipelines!
Here are a few screens from the game itself.
This is my highest scores up to now.
